At heart and by trade

Before positioning statements, blog posts, and Tweets came onto the scene, I couldn’t help but gravitate to writing projects.

I loved taking spelling tests in elementary school, fell into speech writing in high school (yes, I was a graduation speaker), and accidentally completed a minor in Creative Writing at Northwestern.

Studying Creative Writing at Cambridge put a name to what I had always considered my identity to be: Writer.

My screenplay

I wrote a feature-length screenplay with an accompanying critical commentary divulging my inspiration, references, writing process, and vision for my dissertation at Cambridge.

If you want to read it, just give me a shout :)

Published poetry

Wolfson, my college at Cambridge, publishes a poetry anthology each year. I made the cut with my poem, A fish out of for the 2024 collection, A little branch.

Full anthology available here.

Translating poetry

I spent the summer between my junior and sophomore years at Northwestern huddled in the library, reading, analyzing, and translating poetry from Spanish to English. The women of La Generacion del ‘27 gripped my interest and I vowed to bring their work to English speakers.
